Augustus Legion Regulations 2/13/26

CHAPTER 1 - General Conduct

1) Conduct deemed not conducive to good order and discipline is to be refrained from. Failure to maintain standards will be dealt with at the CO’s discretion.

2) Illegal or otherwise improper activities are to be prohibited at all times.

3) You will follow to the best of your ability follow the orders of those appointed over you.

  1. Excluding such situations where the order is impossible, or violates superseding orders.

4) Commanders are responsible for maintaining a cohesive unit and ensuring good morale, order, and discipline.

5) Disciplinary actions are at the discretion of the Commanding Officer.

  1. Decisions may be appealed, or overturned, but a appeal is not required to be heard by the next higher officer.

6) Regulations are to be considered a living document. While Commanding Officers maintain their own unit regulations not to supersede next higher regulation sets, all regulations may be discussed, debated, and updated at the discretion of the relevant Commanding Officer.

7) Augleg shall not maintain a regular activity or participation requirement.

Exceptions may exist where it has been deemed the member is unable to or will not return for some some extended period of time

Where in such exceptions exist, removal of the member shall not be considered a banable offense.

9) Promotions are not only important, but encouraged whenever the rank is deemed earned. Promotions can be recommended by all positions, but may only be finalized by the next higher rank than rank to be promoted to (or higher).

10) It is the responsibility of all members to be familiar with regulations applicable to them. Units are to have all regulations readily available.

11) A Flag Officer shall refer to the officer currently commanding a fleet. This will typically be Commodore or above, but may also refer to a Captain when so designated.

12) A operator of a vehicle shall not operate in a manner that needlessly endangers their vehicle, others, or the mission at hand.

13) Materials collected in service of a mission are considered Org Resources. Captains may keep org resources in personal storage, but should be prepared to relinquish upon request. This does not include items or resources not specifically gathered for a mission objective.

CHAPTER 2 - Basic Unit Regs.

1) The Commanding officer is ultimately responsible for good morale and discipline of their unit.

Commanding officer is considered the highest ranking officer in a given unit. They and their unit are considered subordinate to the commanding officer of the next highest unit structure.

2) If units are to embark vehicles aboard another unit, the vehicles embarked must be cleared and approved with the Commanding Officer beforehand .

3) The Commanding Officer of any unit maintains the authority to organize their unit into org sanctioned activities. The CO shall be responsible for planning, preparation, and gathering of equipment.

4) All members participating in an event must be embarked to their unit prior to the stated departure time. It is the responsibility of the member to secure transport to the unit if muster is missed.

5) If an Abandon Ship order is given, Across all Evacuation types, the following must be conducted: The CO must ensure any mission critical items are removed from the ship and that General Distress has already been signaled. If practical, they shall make every effort to be the last one to abandon the vessel. The Chief Medical Officer shall ensure all wounded that can be moved and Biomed gel is evacuated from the sickbay. Engineering staff and general crew will make their way to the nearest exit point. If pilots can launch their spacecraft, they shall take whatever crew they can and evacuate.

6) In such situations where a Flag Officer has boarded a ship for use as a command vessel (Known as shifting their flag) the Flag officer shall maintain a command authority over the fleet in question, while general command of the ship remains with the Captain. Actions such as coordinating fire control and engineering efforts remain under the purview of the Captain, while the Flag Officer will prioritize fleet operations.

7) All members operating a vehicle must have DCS-SRS installed and set up so that they may utilize radio communications

CHAPTER 3 - General Shipboard Phraseology

{Unit} Departing - {Unit} is departing the station or hangar and all crew should be onboard. This should be preceded by a 5 minute warning

All hands stand by for quantum/jump - Used to alert all aboard a spacecraft that the ship is entering Quantum or Jump travel and to be wary of possible spacecraft functions that may be secured.

(General Quarters Call) - “General Quarters, General Quarters, All Hands Man Your Battlestations” This call is to alert all personnel to make their way to their relevant stations and prepare for combat.

Go For SCM/ Secure From SCM - Used to notify weapon stations that weapons are now live.

Abandon Ship. Evacuation type (relevant evacuation plan) - Used to order crew to evacuate the ship using the relevant evacuation plan.

Halt and catch fire - Order for a unit to stop operating and intend destruction. This call will order a unit to ensure its own destruction to evade capture. It should be used in conjunction with a abandon ship if practical. it does not necessarily require a self destruct, but does require a full and total destruction of the vehicle.

{Unit} Declaring on guard General Distress. - Unit in question is transmitting to all channels that it no longer has control of its current situation, and requires immediate assistance.

Standby to launch {spacecraft} - Flight ops will commence shortly. Pilots should make their way to their spacecraft with haste.

Away {Spacecraft} - Flight ops have now commenced and pilots shall launch in the order instructed

{Spacecraft} Cleared to land. Take Parking position { parking position} - The spacecraft approaching is cleared to land at the designated position.

All hands. {Unit} is now docked/landed at {Location}. Engines are secured, and crew may now disembark through {entranceway}.

{Command Staff Member} has the Conn - Command of the bridge has shifted to the following member of the command staff.

{Callsign} Requesting to land via {landing location} - used by smaller spacecraft to request

River City - Discontinue any and all external transmissions immediately. Any streams, or broadcasts, must be discontinued immediately. Used in such situations where a stream sniper may be actively monitoring transmissions.
