Guidelines For Operational Planning - Captain’s Guide.
Congratulations Captain. As a Captain in the AugLeg Fleet, you are now equipped to assemble your own crew and squadrons to accomplish your own objectives. In support of such things, AugLeg Admiralty has assembled this guide for op planning and assembly. We want you to have all the tools you need to schedule your own ops.
1) Don’t be afraid to pick odd times. Prioritize times that work for you. As AugLeg grows in size, more people will be able to join more time slots. The eventual goal being the ability to crew a Idris 24/7. Not that we expect to ever need to do that. That being said, we want you to run ops whenever you can, and if that’s at a strange hour of the day so be it. Note: we’re all for running ops whenever, but it would be great if you could TRY not to overlap ops TOO much.
2) Use sesh whenever possible. As a Captain, your discord roll permits you to use the Sesh bot to create events. Unfortunately, whether we like it or not, this is far and away the best option for planning. You can find a helpful guide for using the bot here.
3) Ask for outside help if you need it. We’re an org. It is not your crew vs the world. If you need a bigger ship for a job, don’t hesitate to ask someone who has it for help. We’ve tried to keep comprehensive fleet trackers in a few places like UEXcorp and Org Manager. Unfortunately, these lists are non comprehensive. And keep in mind, the outside help rule doesn’t just apply to AugLeg. If you know people interested in joining the org who you need to help, feel free to invite them. Just make sure that the AugLeg Ops stay on the AugLeg servers.
4) Keep it legal. If you must do something less than above board, please try and keep AugLeg’s name out of it. We get it. Some times a jailbreak has to happen, or you have to raid a outpost in pyro. The problem is that these actions have consequences and we don’t want it to impact other AugLeg operations, so just be mindful of that.
